You have examined the carrying ability of your land and decide to fertilize. To prevent the manure from being difficult to pump out of the pit, it is important to mix the manure regularly with this you also reduce the risks of manure gases but only when you ventilate properly.
By placing the Holaras slurry mixer as flat as possible in the pit so the wing has a larger working surface and therefore more capacity. This way the manure is mixed faster and ready to use for fertilizing.
You want to fertilize, and you mix your manure with water to increase nitrogen utilization. This is because you want your grassland to have a good pH value for a stable base for the coming season. The benefits of a good pH balance are;
Mowing at the right time plays an important role in making quality rough age, as it has a major influence on the dry matter percentage and, of course, compaction.
After mowing and a short dry period on the land, you want to start collecting and ensiling your grass. It is important that you immediately distribute the grass in the silage well into thin layers for higher compaction. With the Holaras silage spreader, you can evenly spread large amounts of grass efficiently over the silage up to 6 meters (!) wide.
The next step is to compact the silage until the next load of collected grass arrives. For the least loss of nutrients, you want to make the pressure per square centimeter as high as possible, with the Holaras silage packer you can drive onto the silage with up to 5x more pressure per cm2 than with a normal tractor tire. The compaction rollers have the option to be filled with water, molasses or sand. Optional ballast weights can also be mounted on the compaction roller for even more extra pressure.
After ensiling, it is important that the silage is immediately sealed airtight. Make sure that there is enough weight on and around the pit so that no more oxygen can reach it. With the Holaras silage cover machine it is possible to work 'overtop' and 'underneath' so that the sand ends up perfectly on the sides and on top of the silage. This way you can quickly and easily cover the pit neatly.
