Limited accessibility around the holidays
Due to Good Friday, Easter, Ascension Day and Pentecost, our company will be closed for a number of days.
As of 16 June 2025, Marcel Wolbrink will join the team of Hoopman Machines BV as the company’s new Commercial Director. His appointment marks an important step in ensuring the continuity and driving further growth of the organisation. Marcel will be responsible for the commercial activities of both Holaras and Hoopman.
With Marcel’s arrival, the management team is further strengthened. It now consists of Mark Hoftiezer (Financial Director) and Jurgen Bussink (Production Director). Together, they will continue to shape the strategic direction of the company. Having reached retirement age, company owner Jan Willem Hoopman is stepping back from day-to-day operations, though he will remain actively involved in the organisation.
"With the expansion of our team, we are ensuring a strong foundation for the future. Marcel brings valuable experience and insights that will help us achieve our long-term objectives. In addition, I have great confidence in all our colleagues, who contribute to our success every day with dedication and professionalism," said Jan Willem Hoopman, owner of Hoopman Machines.
Marcel has a broad background in the agricultural sector. After completing his studies in Economics of Agriculture and Environment at Wageningen University (WUR), he gained experience in the seed industry at Barenburg Holland and Petkus Selecta. Additionally, as a farmer’s son, he acquired extensive practical knowledge from an early age.
Marcel is enthusiastic about the new opportunity:
"I am enormously looking forward to joining Hoopman. I’m proud to be part of such a respected company, with strong brands like Holaras and Hoopman.
Hoopman is a true family business. A culture that suits me and in which I feel at home. Communication is direct, and both job satisfaction and continuity are key values here.
In the years ahead, we will focus on further strengthening the company's international position. A great challenge in a dynamic market, and I’m taking it on with confidence."
