8 Tips for the best silage
Lots of types of forage can be ensilaged, but the most common silages are silage grass and silage maize. Good grass silage is essential for high-quality roughage. This in turn keeps cows healthier cow and improves milk yields.
Silage quality
Grass and maize silage has to be perfectly compacted in order to store it well. Good silaging is important for the flavour, and to make sure roughage is used as effectively as possible. Key to this is spreading and compacting the entire silage.
Robust machines for beet processing
Holaras beet cutters and beet cleaners/cutters are the perfect solution for ensiling cut beets with maize, or using them as fresh feed every day. Cleaning fodder beets with a Holaras beet cleaner makes them more palatable and improves intake by livestock. Beet cutters are also ideal for creating finely sliced beets to fill the biogas installation.
