Haulm is mowed precisely with the Holaras haulm topper. The haulm is removed from the bed to the side using our specially developed cutting deck.
The haulm toppers are equipped with automatic depth control as standard. This height is adjusted by an electrically/hydraulically controlled height system combined with probes and sensors. Each topper is supplied as standard with two wheels and a Walterscheid PTO.
Mechanically removing onion haulm saves a lot of labour during the lifting and trimming of onions. The most efficient way is to harvest the onions in one working pass after “clapping”. The heavy, stable Holaras UM 150, UM 180 and UM 210 haulm toppers can be mounted on a tractor 3-point hitch or as a front attachment. All Holaras haulm toppers are equipped with an electrically/hydraulically controlled height system combined with probes and sensors for automatic height adjustment.
